Abstract:
This shape change prediction method for a press-molded article predicts shape change caused by stress alleviation over time after release from a mold and spring-back, for a press-molded article that has a top plate, a punch shoulder section, and a vertical wall and has a shape whereby, in a side surface view, the top plate side has bent in a recessed shape. The shape change prediction method includes: a step (S1) for acquiring the residual stress and the shape of the press-molded article immediately after the spring-back, by using spring-back analysis; a step (S3) for setting a residual stress that is alleviated and reduced more than the residual stress immediately after spring-back, for at least the punch shoulder section and/or the vertical wall in the press-molded article immediately after spring-back; and a step (S5) for determining a shape which achieves balance of the moment of force for the press-molded article that has an alleviated and reduced value of residual stress set therefor.
