Abstract:
A sheath material for a battery according to the present invention, which receives an electrode assembly, comprises: a first member layer; and a second member layer which is positioned between the first member layer and the electrode assembly, includes an elastic polymer, and has portions protruding from a plurality of positions thereof toward the electrode assembly so as to discontinuously come into contact with the electrode assembly, wherein the second member layer forms spaces which are positioned between the protruding portions and are open toward the electrode assembly. Accordingly, the battery has an enhanced output characteristic, and can prevent damage to a sealing part.
