Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a shock absorber lubricant composition with which it is possible to balance operation stability and ride comfort; a lubricant additive; and a method for adjusting the friction characteristics of the shock absorber lubricant composition. [Solution] A shock absorber lubricant composition containing a base oil and a friction adjustment agent, the friction adjustment agent containing a pentaerythritol ester, the pentaerythritol ester including pentaerythritol tetraester and a pentaerythritol ester other than the pentaerythritol tetraester.
