Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a shock absorber that suppresses leakage of hydraulic fluid from between a disc valve and a sub-check valve provided at a passage opening of an orifice passage. A sub-check valve (133) is urged toward an opening (126) of an orifice passage (130) by an urging disk (135) (urging member) having substantially the same diameter as the sub-check valve (133). As a result, when a piston speed in an extension stroke is low (0.1 m/s or less not including 0), hydraulic fluid in a first chamber (2A) is stopped from leaking from between a disc valve (121) and the sub-check valve (133) into a second chamber (2B), and the intended damping force can be obtained.
