Abstract:
Provided is a shock absorption device which makes it possible to improve the degree of freedom of a placement position. This shock absorption device is mounted to a mounting target constituting a vehicle, and mitigates shock during operation. The shock absorption device is provided with: a base part that is fixed to the mounting target; a flexible shock absorption part mounted to the base part such that the absorption part can be reversibly switched between a storage state of being retracted to the base part side and a protrusion state of protruding from the base part; and a driving part that drives the shock absorption part and reversibly switches between the storage state and the protrusion state. The driving part at least switches the shock absorption part from the storage state to the protrusion state when the shock absorption part is operated.
