Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a side airbag device for a vehicle with which it is possible to improve the passenger restraining performance with a simple structure. [Solution] An airbag cushion 112 of a side airbag device 100 comprises a pre-push chamber 122 that receives gas from an inflator 114 first, and a main chamber 116 that receives the gas from the pre-push chamber 122. The pre-push chamber 122 comprises a pre-upper chamber 122a along a seat back 104, and a pre-lower chamber 122b along a seat cushion 105. The main chamber 116 comprises a main upper chamber 118 which is connected to the pre-upper chamber 122a by means of a first inner vent 140a, a main lower chamber 120 that is connected to the pre-lower chamber 122b by means of a check valve 144, and a baffle 146 that partitions the main upper chamber 118 and the main lower chamber 120.
