Abstract:

A signal transfer management device for managing the operation of signal transfer devices in a system for transmitting and receiving time synchronization messages which include time information between a master device which has a reference time and a plurality of slave devices by using a plurality of signal transfer devices which constitute a packet network, the signal transfer management device having: a gate calculation unit for calculating the gate opening time of the uplink time gates of the plurality of signal transfer devices and the gate opening time of the downlink time gates thereof, and opening the respective time gates; a comparison unit for detecting uplink time synchronization message collisions by comparing the uplink time synchronization messages from the plurality of slave devices to the master device; and an offset unit for adjusting the gate opening time of the uplink time gate of a signal transfer device and the gate opening time of the downlink time gate thereof, and setting the same in the signal transfer device when the comparison unit detects a collision of the uplink time synchronization messages of the signal transfer devices. As a result, it is possible to avoid time synchronization message collisions without a reduction in time synchronization accuracy.
