Abstract:

A silencer (30) for a supercharger is provided with an air intake housing (H) connected to an outside-air introduction duct. The silencer (30) is mounted to the air suction opening of the supercharger body and muffles the sound of intake air sucked in from the outside in the radial direction with respect to the rotor shaft of the supercharger body. Sound absorption splitters (2) are arranged circumferentially so as to extend radially with respect to the rotor shaft of the supercharger body. The sound absorption splitters (2) are arranged in such a manner that the tops of some sound absorption splitters (2) of the sound absorption splitters (2) are oriented in directions different from the directions in which the tops of the remaining sound absorption splitters (2) are oriented.
