Abstract:
The present invention provides a silicone composition containing: (A) 100 parts by mass of an organopolysiloxane having a viscosity at 25ºC of 0.01-100 Pa·s and having two or more alkenyl groups bonded to a silicon atom in each molecule; (B) 1-500 parts by mass of a silicone resin having a SiO4/2 unit and/or a R1SiO3/2 unit; (C) 10-500 parts by mass of hydrophobic silica particles having an average particle size of 20-1000 nm and a hydrophobicity of 60% or more; (D) an organohydrogen polysiloxane having two or more hydrogen atoms bonded to a silicon atom in each molecule, the organohydrogen polysiloxane being contained in such an amount that the mole of the hydrogen atoms bonded to a silicon atom in the component (D) is 0.4-5.0 times the sum of all the alkenyl groups bonded to a silicon atom in the composition; and (E) an effective amount of a platinum-based catalyst. Due to the above, the silicone composition has good flowability and exhibits high transparency and high tear resistance after being cured.
