Abstract:
A sleep state management device is provided in which a control unit (14) uses a detection signal from a sensor (12) for detecting movement of the bedding on which a subject is sleeping in order to make a provisional determination of whether the body of the subject is moving, and when a first period within which periods for which it is determined that body movement is occurring periodically repeat and/or a second period within which the period for which it is determined that body movement is occurring continues for longer than a predetermined interval, amends the periods within the first period for which it was determined that body movement was occurring and/or the second period to periods without body movement.
