Abstract:
Provided is a sliding component capable of efficiently utilizing a liquid that is supplied between sliding surfaces and maintaining high lubricity over a long period of time. On the inner diameter side or the outer diameter side of at least one of a pair of sliding surfaces S3 and S6 of a sliding component, an annular depression 10 that opens in the radial direction along the entire circumference is formed. On at least one of the pair of sliding surfaces S3 and S6, supply grooves 11 that are in communication with the annular depression 10 and that extend in the radial direction of the sliding surfaces S3 and S6 are formed.
