Abstract:
A sliding material having excellent wear resistance is provided. In order to address the problem, the sliding material (12) comprises a resin (12a), first particles (12b), which are disposed in the resin (12a) and are made of an inorganic material, and second particles (12c), which are disposed in the resin (12a) and are made of an inorganic material having a higher Vickers hardness than the first particles (12b). When a value obtained by diving the Vickers hardness of the second particles (12c) by the Vickers hardness of the first particles (12b) is defined as a hardness ratio and a value obtained by dividing the content of the first particles (12b) with respect to the resin (12a) by the content of the second particles (12c) with respect to the resin (12a) is defined as a content ratio, then a value obtained by dividing the hardness ratio by the content ratio is 0.3-2.8.
