Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a tip dresser that is capable of, when performing resistance welding, applying appropriate electric current and voltage to a welding spot. [Solution] The present invention comprises: a rod-like member 10 which has a constricted part obtained by constricting the center portion of the lateral surface of a rod in the longitudinal direction; and a means for causing the rod-like member 10 to spin about a rotation axis connecting between both ends of the rod while causing the rod-like member 10 to revolve around the constricted part 11 as the center of rotation. The constricted part 11 is shaped so as to have pointed parts 35a, 35b that are intended to serve as a cutting tool 34. The constricted part 11 is revolved and spun so as to cause the cutting tool 34 to perform cutting of an object to be cut.
