Abstract:
This Sn-plated steel sheet is provided with: a base material plated steel sheet which has a steel sheet and a Sn-plated layer disposed on at least one surface of the steel sheet; and a coating layer which is disposed on the base material plated steel sheet and which comprises zirconium oxide and tin oxide. In this Sn-plated steel sheet, the deposition amount of Sn in one surface thereof is 0.1-15 g/m2, the amount of the zirconium oxide contained in the coating layer falls within a range of 1-30 mg/m2 in terms of the amount of metallic zirconium, the peak position of binding energy of Sn3d5/ 2 as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy with respect to the tin oxide in the coating layer falls within a range of not less than 1.4 eV but less than 1.6 eV with respect to the peak position of binding energy of metallic Sn, and the amount of electricity required for reduction of the tin oxide falls within a range of more than 5.0 mC/cm2 but not more than 20 mC/cm2.
