Abstract:
A software management method and apparatus, which belong to the technical field of communications. The method comprises: receiving a virtualized network function (VNF) software update request sent by a network function virtualization (NFV) orchestrator, the VNF software update request carrying an update plan, a VNF software identifier, update version information and a target parameter subscribed by the NFV orchestrator, and the target parameter being used for indicating an execution result of a target running indicator in the VNF software update process (101); updating the VNF software according to the update plan, the VNF software identifier and the update version information (102); during the update process of the VNF software, obtaining a target monitoring value corresponding to the target parameter according to the target parameter (103); and sending the target monitoring value to the NFV orchestrator, so that the NFV orchestrator determines running information of the updated VNF software according to the target monitoring value (104). In this way, the execution effect that the updated VNF software runs a user service can be determined.
