Abstract:
Provided is a solar cell string in which a plurality of double-sided electrode solar cells having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view are used, wherein the plurality of solar cells are electrically connected in a row in shingling connection along a cell connecting direction substantially parallel to the shorter side of the substantially rectangular shape. The solar cell string has a first isolating region and a second isolating region which are regions in which the thickness of a backside transparent conductive layer formed on a semiconductor substrate is more than or equal to 0% and less than 10% of the thickness of the backside transparent conductive layer in a central portion of each of the solar cells, wherein the size of the first isolating region in the cell connecting direction is greater than the size of the second isolating region in the cell connecting direction.
