Abstract:
This solid electrolytic capacitor is provided with: at least one capacitor element having a positive electrode part and a negative electrode part; a positive electrode terminal electrically connected to the positive electrode part; a negative electrode terminal electrically connected to the negative electrode part; and an exterior resin that covers the capacitor element, the positive electrode terminal, and the negative electrode terminal in a state in which a portion of the positive electrode terminal and a portion of the negative electrode terminal are exposed. The exterior resin has a mounting surface, and four side-surfaces intersecting the mounting surface. By use of a solid electrolytic capacitor having hollow parts open to a side opposite to the exterior resin at sections that are of the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal and that are exposed along the mounting surface, it is possible to provide a solid electrolytic capacitor having improved quality of substrate mounting through soldering.
