Abstract:
Provided is a solid state battery which has a low internal resistance, excellent battery characteristics and is easily manufactured. A solid state battery (10) includes an element (14) composed of a solid electrolyte layer (16), a positive electrode layer (18) and a negative electrode layer (20). At least the positive electrode layer (18) or the negative electrode layer (20) includes solid electrolyte. On the positive electrode layer (18) and the negative electrode layer (20) of the element (14), power collectors (24, 26) are formed of a conductive material, such as Pt, by gas phase method such as vacuum deposition and sputtering. A base body is formed by forming a protection layer on a laminating surface of the element (14). Furthermore, a terminal electrode is formed by bringing the terminal electrode into contact with the power collectors (24, 26) on the surface.
