Abstract:
The technology of the present invention is related to a solid-state imaging device and an electronic apparatus which can improve saturation characteristics. A photodiode is formed on a substrate, and a floating diffusion accumulates a signal charge read from the photodiode. A plurality of vertical gate electrodes are formed in a region between the photodiode and the floating diffusion, in the depth direction from the surface of the substrate. An overflow path is formed in a region sandwiched by the plurality of vertical gate electrodes. This technology can be applied to a CMOS image sensor.
