Abstract:
This solid-state imaging device (100) comprises a pixel circuit (3a) whereby a plurality of pixel signals are output, a detection circuit (52), and a signal processing unit (70). The pixel circuit (3a) comprises: a photodiode (PD); a transfer transistor (TG) that reads the signal of the photodiode (PD) to a charge storage unit (FD0); and storage capacity (C2) for storing a charge overflowing from the photodiode (PD). The detection circuit (52) compares a signal from the storage capacity (C2) and a reference signal, initializes the photodiode (PD) and the storage capacity (C2) when the signal from the storage capacity (C2) reaches the reference signal, and counts the number of initializations. The signal processing unit (70) calculates a first signal indicating the intensity of incident light on the basis of the number of initializations, the signal from the photodiode (PD) read to the charge storage unit (FD0) by the transfer transistor (TG), and the signal from the storage capacity (C2).
