Abstract:
In this solid-state imaging element which detects the presence or absence of an address event, the power consumed during image capture is reduced. The solid-state imaging element has multiple pixels and an analog-to-digital conversion unit. In the solid-state imaging element, each of the multiple pixels generates an analog signal through photoelectric conversion. Furthermore, in the solid-state imaging element, the analog-to-digital conversion unit converts to a digital signal the analog signal of those of the multiple pixels for which the amount of change in incident light is outside of a prescribed range.
