Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide a sound level predicting tool capable of easily predicting a sound level of a noise source in a prescribed position on a map. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a noise predicting method capable of easily predicting a sound level of a noise source in a prescribed position on a map. This sound level predicting tool, used by being brought into contact with a map having a prescribed scale, includes a reference point or a reference line corresponding to a position of a sound source in the real world, and a prediction point or a prediction line corresponding to a position in the real world at which sound generated from the sound source is received, wherein the sound level predicting tool indicates that, when the reference point or at least a portion of the reference line and the prediction point or at least a portion of the prediction line are brought into contact with the map, the sound generated from the sound source in an actual position corresponding to a position on the map that is in contact with the reference point or at least a portion of the reference line is received with a prescribed sound level at an actual position corresponding to a position on the map that is in contact with the prediction point or at least a portion of the prediction line.
