Abstract:
Provided is a sound reproduction device capable of excellently expressing a front localization. The sound reproduction device 1 comprises a specific installation environment effector 232 that, assuming, regardless of the installation environment of a virtual sound source P, that the virtual sound source P to be forward-localized exists in a specific installation environment En exerting a direct influence upon sounds, convolutes the sound emitting characteristic of the specific installation environment En with the sound signals of all right and left channels in which stereo speakers 3 perform sound emissions. In addition to the specific installation environment effector 232, the sound reproduction device 1 further comprises: a sound image localization filter 231 that convolutes a transfer characteristic for forward-localizing the virtual sound source P with the sound signals of the right and left channels in which the stereo speakers 3 perform sound emissions; and the stereo speakers 3 that are arranged on the head remotely from the ears.
