A thin speaker device (1, 1B) capable of radiating a large volume of reproduced sound, wherein the speaker device achieves high reproducing efficiency by reliable transmission of vibration of a voice coil (30) to a vibration plate (10).  A drive section of the speaker device is provided with a magnetic circuit (20) for forming a magnetic gap (20G) along a direction different from the direction of vibration of the vibration plate, the voice coil vibrating along the magnetic gap, and a vibration direction changing section (50) for transmitting vibration of the voice coil to the vibration plate after changing the direction of the vibration.  The vibration direction changing section is provided with a link mechanism (50L) for changing the angle of link portions (51) formed between the voice coil and the vibration plate.  A stationary section (100) is provided with an outer peripheral frame section (101) surrounding the vibration plate, and also with a bridge section (102) for spanning between inner sides of the outer peripheral frame.  The bridge section applies a reaction force to the link mechanism and is rigid in the direction of vibration of the link mechanism.
