Abstract:
Provided is a specimen processing instrument and a specimen processing system configured for easy size reduction. In the present invention, a cartridge instrument (200) is for processing a specimen to make the condition of a substance of interest in the specimen suitable for analysis. The cartridge instrument comprises: a reservoir member (32) having a disk-shaped top part; and a holding member (31) that holds the reservoir member (32). The reservoir member (32) has a plurality of reservoir parts (32b) for holding a specimen and a reagent for processing the specimen. The plurality of reservoir parts (32b) are provided along the circumference of a disk part (32a), so as to extend downward under the disk part (32a). The reservoir member (32) is rotatably held by the holding member (31), where the center of the disk part (32a) serves as an axis of rotation, and also includes a cover member (33) that covers the holding member (31) and the reservoir member (32) from above. The cover member (33) has an opening on the top surface thereof, and a pipette tip can be inserted through the opening.
