Abstract:
A speed change device provided with first to third planetary gear mechanisms (41, 42, 43) arranged between an input shaft (2) and an output shaft (3). The device has first to third brake drums (41D, 42D, 43D) connected to one of rotational elements of each of the planetary gear mechanisms (41, 42, 43), magnet means (5) arranged on the outer periphery side of each of the brake drums (41D, 42D, 43D) so as to be movable only in the axial direction, magnet operation means (6) axially moving the magnet means (5) so as to be positioned at first to fourth braking positions (I, II, III, IV) that are opposite the outer periphery of the braking drums (41D, 42D, 43D) and at a brake release position (N) that is not opposite the outer periphery of the braking drums (41D, 42D, 43D).
