Title:
SPINDLE DRIVE FOR AN ADJUSTMENT ELEMENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/048679
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a spindle drive for an adjustment element (1) of a motor vehicle, wherein a drive unit (2) and a spindle/spindle-nut mechanism (3) connected downstream of the drive unit (2) in terms of drive are provided for generating linear driving movements, wherein the drive unit (2) has a tubular, preferably single-piece, drive unit housing (4) and a driving motor (5) and optionally an intermediate mechanism (6) connected downstream of the driving motor (5) in terms of drive in said drive unit housing, wherein the drive unit (2) and the spindle/spindle nut mechanism (3) are arranged one behind the other on the geometrical spindle axis (7), wherein a spindle drive housing (8) is provided with a tubular inner housing (8a) and a tubular outer housing (8b), wherein the inner housing (8a) runs telescopically in the outer housing (8b). It is proposed that the outer housing (8b) of the spindle drive housing (8) accommodates the drive unit (2) with the drive unit housing (4) and is connected to the drive unit (2).
