Abstract:
The invention relates to a starting unit (1), for application in transmissions, in particular, automatic or automatically-switching gearboxes for vehicles with an input and an output and a starting element (1), arranged between the input (7) and the output (8) in the form of a hydrodynamic coupling (3), comprising a primary rotor (4) and a secondary rotor (5), but where the hydrodynamic coupling (3) is without a stator. The above further comprises a lock-up coupling (9), for the mechanical locking of input (7) and output (8). The lock-up coupling (9) is embodied as a mechanically-transmitting, synchromeshing coupling. A freewheel (18) is arranged between the primary rotor (4) and the secondary rotor (5).
