Abstract:
Disclosed are a state monitoring device and a state monitoring method for a ball screw, which enable appropriately collecting data for accurately diagnosing the state of a ball screw. A state monitoring device (20) monitors the state of a ball screw (10) having a screw shaft (1), a nut (2), and a plurality of balls (3). The state monitoring device (20) comprises: a drive control unit (22) for controlling a drive unit (servo motor (11)) to make the screw shaft (1) and the nut (2) move relative to each other at a constant speed by one reciprocation or more under a no-load state; and a data collection unit (23) for collecting, as data, physical amounts relating to the ball screw (10) during a period in which the drive unit is controlled by the drive control unit (22).
