Abstract:
The present invention discloses a state monitoring device and a state monitoring method for a linear guide, the device and method being capable of appropriately collecting data for more accurate diagnosis of a state of the linear guide. This state monitoring device (20) monitors the state of a linear guide (10) having a guide rail (1), a slider (2), and a plurality of rolling bodies (3). The state monitoring device (20) comprises: a drive control unit (22) that controls a driving unit (servomotor) so as to move the slider (2) at a fixed speed with respect to the guide rail (1) at least one round-trip in a no-load state; and a data collecting unit (23) that collects, as data, physical quantities related to the linear guide (10) while the driving unit is controlled by the drive control unit (22).
