Abstract:
Static electricity removing devices (31, 33) are provided with a soft-X-ray irradiation unit (31a) that irradiates a sheet (8) with a soft X-ray (32). The static electricity removing devices (31, 33) are disposed such that the devices are facing a transfer path (7) in which the sheet (8) is transferred in a digital printing machine (1). At the time when the sheet (8) passes a vicinity of the soft-X-ray irradiation unit (31a) while being transferred in the transfer path (7), the sheet (8) is irradiated with the soft X-ray (32), and static electricity is removed from the sheet (8). Consequently, the static electricity is reliably removed, and troubles due to the static electricity generated in the digital printing machine (1) is eliminated.
