A replaceable gun head of a steel bar strapping machine, a steel bar strapping machine having the replaceable gun head and an operating method of the steel bar strapping machine. The replaceable gun head of the steel bar strapping machine comprises a gun head information identification component arranged on the gun head, and after the gun head is mounted on the steel bar strapping machine, the gun head information identification component is connected to a main control unit (3) of the steel bar strapping machine, and the main control unit (3) acquires gun head information by means of the gun head information identification component. The steel bar strapping machine comprises a gun shell, a main control unit (3) arranged in the gun shell, and a replaceable gun head mounted at the front end of the gun shell. The operating method of the steel bar strapping machine is as follows: the main control unit (3) sets a rotation number threshold corresponding to a wire feeding motor according to gun heads having different gun head information; in addition, the main control unit (3) sets a torsion threshold corresponding to a wire twisting motor according to gun heads having different gun head information; the main control unit (3) acquires the gun head information by means of the gun head information identification component, and then acquires the rotation number threshold of the wire feeding motor and the torsion threshold of the wire twisting motor that are set for the gun head information; when the steel bar strapping machine is in a wire feeding process, the main control unit (3) acquires the current rotation number of the wire feeding motor in real time, and when the current rotation number of the motor reaches the above acquired rotation number threshold of the wire feeding motor, the main control unit (3) controls the wire feeding motor to stop rotating, and the steel bar strapping machine gun head outputs a wire of a corresponding length; and when the steel bar strapping machine is in a wire twisting process, the main control unit (3) collects the current value of the wire twisting motor in real time, and determines the current torsion of the wire twisting motor by means of the current value, and when the current torsion of the wire twisting motor reaches the above acquired torsion threshold of the wire twisting motor, the main control unit (3) controls the wire twisting motor to stop rotating, and outputs a corresponding torsion by means of the wire twisting motor. The steel bar strapping machine sets a rotation number threshold corresponding to a wire feeding motor and a torsion threshold corresponding to a wire twisting motor according to different muzzle information, so that the length and torsion of a wire outputted by the steel bar strapping machine having different gun heads are controlled, which can achieve the combined application of various sizes of steel bars on construction sites, and the burden of the worker carrying and managing the steel bar strapping machine and the cost of purchasing machines for construction sites are reduced.
