Abstract:
This fracture prediction method includes: a first step S11 for calculating a first value which indicates the maximum main strain of a bending outermost surface layer determined through solid elements, by inputting the sheet thickness of a steel material and a limit VDA bending angle to a first relational formula defined by using a finite element method using solid elements; a second step S12 for calculating a second value which indicates the maximum main strain of the bending outermost surface layer determined through shell elements, by inputting the element size of shell elements of a deformation analysis model, the sheet thickness of the steel material, the sheet thickness of the steel material, and the first value to a second relational formula defined by using a finite element method using shell elements; a third step S2 for calculating a third value which indicates the maximum main strain of the outermost surface layer of the steel material by using the finite element method of shell elements; and a fourth step S3 for determining whether deformation will cause fracture in the bending deformation part of the steel material by comparing the second and third values with each other.
