Abstract:
Two transmission lines (2) constitute a triplet-type directional coupler full-coated with a dielectric substance (3). The bottom of a casing (4) is provided with a groove (5) to make a structure that the insert amount of a coupling degree adjusting screw (7) can be adjusted along this groove (5). The size of the groove (5) is made variable by drawing out and in the coupling degree adjusting screw (7) to vary the field intensity between the transmission line (2) and a ground (casing 4). That is, the groove (5) provided in a part of the ground (casing 4) of the directional coupler keeps the field intensity of this part weakened to the ground. According as this groove is gradually filled with the coupling degree adjusting screw (7), the field intensity of the part to the ground is strengthened, so that the degree of coupling between the transmission lines (2) is weakened.
