Abstract:
Disclosed is a material capable of forming a polytetrafluoroethylene porous film which can readily be stretched biaxially, is capable of uniform stretching even at high stretching ratios, and has low pressure loss. The disclosed stretch material contains (A) a polytetrafluoroethylene having fibrillating properties and a standard specific gravity (SSG) of 2.130-2.230, and (B) a non-fibrillating, low molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene having a melt viscosity of 1x102 to 7x105Pa.s at 380°C not irradiated by an electron beam or a radiation beam.
