Abstract:
A structure for press-fitting and fixing a metal collar to a resin member, comprising: a metal collar having a cylindrical main body and a flange extending outwards from the circumferential side surface of the main body; a resin member having a through-hole formed therein that has the main body of the metal collar press-fitted therein; and an adhesive applied between the metal collar and the resin member. The outer diameter of the main body of the metal collar is d, the inner diameter of the through-hole prior to having the main body press-fitted therein is D, and the interference of the main body relative to the through-hole is δ = (D–d). A coefficient α defined by δ = αD is 0.0007–0.0090.
