Abstract:
The present invention reduces a possibility of failing to detect a burst signal by a sensor controller while securing a state in which the burst signal can be detected in a wide range within a touch surface. This stylus 2, which is considered as bidirectionally communicable with the sensor controller, includes: a receiving unit 71 which receives an uplink signal transmitted by the sensor controller; a control unit 90 which determines, on the basis of the uplink signal, whether to continuously transmit a prescribed waveform signal for a second time, or to continuously transmit a prescribed waveform signal for a first time that is longer than the second time; and a transmitting unit 75 which continuously transmits the prescribed waveform signal for the first time or the second time on the basis of a result of the determination by the control unit 90.
