Abstract:
One aspect of the present invention relates to a carbon composite for use in a positive electrode of a lithium-sulfur battery, and provides a sulfur-carbon composite, a positive electrode active material including same, a positive electrode including same, and a lithium-sulfur battery including same. The sulfur-carbon composite comprises a porous carbon material and a sulfur-containing compound supported inside the pores of the porous carbon material and on at least a portion of the outer surface of the porous carbon material, wherein the porous carbon substrate includes a plate-shaped carbon material, the specific surface area of the porous carbon substrate is at least 1,000 m2/g, and the pore volume of the porous carbon substrate is at least 6 cm3/g.
