Abstract:
The present invention provides a sulfur-modified polyacrylonitrile that has a total sulfur content of 30-55 mass% and a value yielded by equation (1) defined in the Description of less than 0.08. The present invention also provides an electrode active material that contains the sulfur-modified polyacrylonitrile, a secondary battery electrode that contains the electrode active material, a method for producing the electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that uses the electrode.
