Provided is a sunshade having a shape that can be changed significantly, from rectangular to fan-shaped, while the spacing between light-shielding sheets is kept small.　A sunshade according to the present invention is configured from a plurality of plate-shaped members (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) which have a light shielding surface that extends in a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction, and which are arranged spaced apart substantially parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction, and flexible sheet-shaped members (70, 71, 72, 73) connected at line-shaped parts, extending in the longitudinal direction, of the same surface sides of each of the plate-shaped members that are adjacent to one another, wherein the sheet-shaped members are wider than the spacing between adjacent plate-shaped members, and the length from an end portion of the side that extends in the longitudinal direction of one plate-shaped member to the line-shaped part of another plate-shaped member is set to be longer than the thickness of the end portion of the side that extends in the longitudinal direction of the one plate-shaped member, such that adjacent plate-shaped members are caused to overlap one another. Adopting this configuration makes it possible for the width to be expanded and contracted, and for the shape to be changed to a fan shape.
