Abstract:
The present invention provides a technology of minimizing the possibility of printing unintended by a user in the case of performing printing by a printer which is capable of receiving, as an input, a forced printing setting from an information processing device having installed therein an OS-standard general print program. A PC 1 obtains automatic processing information 51 by using an auxiliary program 42. In the case of occurrence of a print instruction which is outputted from an edit application 43 installed in the PC 1 and which is given to a general print program 41 previously incorporated in the OS 21 so as to cause a printer 2 to perform printing of an image, and when the obtained automatic processing information 51 indicates performing of predetermined image processing, the PC gives, by using a user interface 13, a notification based on the automatic processing information 51 and on the printing setting by the print instruction. Upon reception of a print job, the printer 2 performs the predetermined image processing on image data of the print job if the automatic processing information 51 indicates performing of the predetermined image processing, and performs printing on the basis of the image data having undergone the predetermined image processing.
