Abstract:
This surface light emitting unit is characterized in that: a wiring substrate (60) comprises an external wiring connection part (40) on a holding substrate (11) side; the holding substrate (11) is provided with an opening (11h); the wiring substrate (60) is arranged so as to cover the opening (11h) and to have the external wiring connection part (40) exposed, through the opening (11h), from a surface of the holding substrate (11), said surface being on the reverse side of the surface on which the wiring substrate (60) is supported; and the surface of the wiring substrate (60) positioned within the opening (11h) is sealed by a second sealing member, while having an external wiring line connected to the external wiring connection part (40).
