Abstract:

A vehicle control device (101) is provided with: a first rotor (10) of which an input shaft (3) is mechanically linked with an engine (70) of a vehicle; a second rotor (20) of which an output shaft (24a) is mechanically linked with an axle (74) of the vehicle; a rotating electrical machine (1) including a stator (30); an arrest mechanism (60); and an ECU (73). The input shaft (3) and the output shaft (24a) respectively include a first brake plate (43ac) and a second brake plate (53) which are integrally rotated. The arrest mechanism (60) includes an engaging pin (66) that selectively engages the first brake plate (43ac) or the second brake plate (53) to arrest rotation, a moving mechanism (65) for causing the engaging pin (66) to operate, and a stepping motor (67) for driving the moving mechanism (65). The ECU (73), when supplying electric power to the rotating electrical machine (1) while stopping the engine (70), causes the engaging pin (66) to be engaged with the first brake plate (43ac).
