Abstract:
Provided is a switch element having: a switch core material 61 that is formed from a superconducting material capable of transitioning from a normal conducting state above the critical field to a superconducting state below the critical field; a critical magnet 62 that comprises a superconducting material and applies the magnetic field for the transition to the switch core material 61; and a control magnet 63 that is positioned between the switch core material 61 and the critical magnet 62 and controls the magnetic field applied from the critical magnet 62 to the switch core material 61. The switch core material 61 and the critical magnet 62 are each connected to a permanent current circuit E that is formed on a closed circuit by a permanent current switch ES. Switch elements of a motor drive circuit can be made to open and close using permanent current.
