Abstract:
A synchronous reluctance rotary electric machine according to one embodiment of the present invention has a shaft and a rotor iron core. The rotor iron core is fixed to the shaft, a plurality of layers of cavities which become projected in shape toward the inside in the radial direction for each pole are formed, and bridges are formed between an outer peripheral surface and the respective cavities. When the peripheral-direction center in one pole is set as a pole center, and two peripheral-direction ends are set as pole ends, a furthest pole-end bridge located furthest on the pole end side among the bridges is formed so as to be gradually thicker from the pole center side toward the pole end side. An intermediate bridge located on the pole center side across one bridge from the furthest pole-end bridge among the bridges is formed so as to be gradually thicker from the pole end side toward the pole center side.
