Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for co-producing xylitol and caramel color by using a xylose mother liquor, said system comprising a raw material tank, a filter, a nanofiltration membrane device, a first ion exchange device, a chromatographic separation device, a refining and hydrogenation assembly and a browning reaction assembly. which are connected in sequence by pipelines; the chromatographic separation device is used to separate a xylose mother liquor flowing therethrough into an extraction liquid with a high content of the component xylose and a raffinate with a low content of the component xylose; the refining and hydrogenation assembly is used to refine and hydrogenate the extraction liquid to prepare crystal xylitol; and the browning reaction assembly is used for performing browning reaction treatment on the raffinate to prepare caramel color. Further disclosed is a method for using the described system to co-produce xylitol and caramel color by using xylose mother liquor. In the present invention, a xylose mother liquor is used to prepare xylitol after purifying and crystallizing xylose and a raffinate that has undergone xylose chromatographic separation after centrifugation to prepare caramel color, thereby improving the utilization value of the xylose mother liquor.
