Abstract:
A system for producing magnesium chloride, comprising a removing unit and a concentrating unit connected to the removing unit, wherein: the removing unit generates feedstock water obtained by removing sulfate ions and sodium ions from to-be-treated water consisting of seawater as feedstock; the concentrating unit concentrates the feedstock water and generates a slurry in which magnesium chloride is crystallized; and the removing unit includes a first removing unit that reduces the sulfate ion concentration to lower than that of the to-be-treated water, and a second removing unit that reduces the sodium ion concentration to lower than that of the to-be-treated water.
