Abstract:
The present invention is capable of using sensor information obtained during a manufacturing process to assess the authenticity of a material and authenticate the material without an additional inspection step or the addition of an authentication marker to the material. Provided is a system that has at least one processor and at least one storage medium, wherein the processor: generates a trained categorization model that is trained using measurement values obtained from a plurality of sensors installed on manufacturing equipment for a product using a raw material, and outputs information to be used to assess the authenticity of a raw material; stores the trained categorization model on the storage medium; inputs the measurement values for an unauthenticated raw material into the trained categorization model; and authenticates the unauthenticated raw material if said raw material is assessed as being authentic.
