Abstract:
A tab flattening device, comprising a clamp (30) and a sleeve assembly (50). The clamp is used for clamping an electrode assembly (23) in the radial direction. The sleeve assembly comprises gathering portions (502), limiting portions (501), and pushing portions (503). The gathering portions are used for moving in a first direction so that tabs (201) of the electrode assembly are gathered in a direction close to the electrode assembly, the first direction being parallel to an axis (231) of the electrode assembly and facing the clamp. The limiting portions are connected to first ends of the gathering portions, the first ends face the clamp, and the limiting portions are used for surrounding the electrode assembly when the gathering portions move in the first direction and abutting against the clamp after the tabs are gathered. The pushing portions are provided at second ends of the gathering portions, the second ends are away from the clamp, and the pushing portions are used for pressing the tabs in the first direction after the tabs are gathered, so that the tabs are flattened until the tabs have a preset tab height, the tab height referring to the height by which the tabs protrude from end faces (23a) of non-tab areas of the electrode assembly in the axial direction of the electrode assembly. According to the device, the electrode assembly can be prevented from moving in the axial direction thereof in a tab pressing process, so as to prevent the deviation between an actual tab height of the tabs and the preset tab height caused by the axial offset of the tabs, thereby improving the quality of the flattened tabs, thus improving the performance of a battery and ensuring safety performance.
