Abstract:
In order to smoothly rotate a tapered roller bearing while preventing a rapid temperature increase even when the bearing is used under a stringent lubrication condition, the tapered roller bearing according to the present invention has a width RC of 0.7 mm or less, with A < RC satisfied, where a reference point (O2) is the intersection of a virtual line extending from the generatrix of an orbit plane (11) of an inner race (10) toward a grinding clearance (13) and a virtual line extending from the generatrix of a large collar surface (12a) toward the grinding clearance (13), A is the recess width of the grinding clearance (13) from the reference point (O2) to the large collar surface (12a), and RC is the width of a chamfer (32) of a tapered roller (30) in the direction along the generatrix of the large collar surface (12a).
